Sweet Yield Studio Scholarship Program

The Sweet Yield Studio Scholarship Program was created to provide additional financial assistance to children and teens interested in creativity, dance, and movement education. We desire a world where all flourishing is mutual, equitable, and equal for every child and do not want financial hardship to prohibit any student from participating.

One of our core tenets as a studio is expanding the accessibility and reach of arts education, particularly as it comes to rooting out injustice, racism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and other exploitative systems. This is why 80% of all scholarships awarded are received by BIPOC [Black, Indigenous, People of Color] students in our community.

Historically, arts and dance education have come with financial and systemic barriers preventing underserved communities from accessing what can be a vital outlet, lifelong inspiration, and healing modality. This program is intended to give all students equal opportunity and access.

Sweet Yield Studio Scholarship Program

Our scholarships are primarily for those who consider arts education to be a pillar and priority in the life of your child, yet after making personal sacrifices cannot afford the financial cost. If you believe you (or your family) fit this criteria, we welcome you to submit the scholarship application on this page.

Please read the following important notes before applying for a scholarship:

1) Scholarships do NOT cover any portion of performance fees (including costumes). In other words, you will need to be able to cover those fees on your own. If you are unable to do so, we recommend finding an outside sponsor (such as a friend or family member) who will agree to pay those fees. If assistance is still needed we can share fundraising ideas and projects our students have completed in the past.

2) Scholarships cover a portion of dance class tuition ranging from 25% to 100%. The portion is completely variable, depending on the unique situation. If you are awarded a partial scholarship, you will still be responsible for your reduced tuition rate. All Studio Policies and Late Fees apply to every student enrolled at Sweet Yield Studio.

3) Only one scholarship application is needed per family. The application includes all participating family members.

4) Scholarships are awarded based on our sole opinion and discretion. This is a private program. There are many factors which may affect the availability of scholarships. Not everyone who applies will receive a scholarship.

5) We reserve the right to revoke scholarships at any time for any reason. All students must adhere to our Studio Policies.
