Event Coordinator Application
Overview: We are a creative dance studio and well-being community located on Film Row in the West Village District of Downtown Oklahoma City. Our studio is dedicated to providing exceptional dance education and fostering a love for dance among our students. Position: Marketing Coordinator
Location: Remote and In-Person Position // 629 W. Sheridan Ave, Ste 103, Oklahoma City, OK
Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our administrative team as an Event Coordinator. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing studio events, performances, showcases, and community experiences that support our mission and create meaningful moments for our dancers and families. You will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and administrative team, and your contributions will play a key role in ensuring events are executed with excellence, creativity, and care. We measure success in this role by executing projects and goals within established timelines while creating positive experiences for our community.
Responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to):
Coordinate and manage logistics for studio events, performances, showcases, workshops, and community gatherings.
Create and maintain event timelines, planning documents, and task lists.
Communicate with venues, vendors, instructors, volunteers, and families regarding event details and logistics.
Assist with event budgeting, supply ordering, and inventory management.
Coordinate event registrations, ticketing, seating charts, and guest experiences as needed.
Support recital and performance planning, including rehearsals, backstage logistics, and day-of event coordination.
Collaborate with the Creative Director and administrative team to develop memorable event experiences that align with the Sweet Yield brand and values.
Troubleshoot event challenges and provide solutions with professionalism and flexibility.
Assist with administrative projects and special initiatives as assigned.
Requirements: To excel in this role, we are seeking individuals who align with our studio's values and possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience coordinating events, programs, productions, or community experiences.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and moving pieces simultaneously.
Experience working collaboratively with teams, vendors, and community partners.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools.
Self-starter who values efficiency, creative collaboration, hospitality, and a highly organized workplace.
Availability to support occasional evenings and weekends during performances and special events.

Compensation:
Starting at $18-20/hr or Based On Experience
-This is a part-time position.
-Full-time employees receive paid time off and health benefit options.
-All employees have free access to all Sweet Yield Adult Community Classes and Events.
